East Haven Mountain, Inc. Board of Directors

Bryan Wiegers, EHMI Board Chairman
Bryan lives in Northbridge, Mass with his wife Sue. They have two daughters in their 20s who still live in the area. He loves being in the outdoors with people, and can often be found riding his bike through the trails or walking up a mountain. God's Creation and Scripture continue to open his eyes to the Grace and Mercy of Jesus Christ, and he is grateful for the friendships in his life that help support this. Bryan first started going to The Cabin over 20 years ago, and is thankful that its founder, Greg Gordon, has trusted him to carry the mission of The Cabin forward. His experiences as an avid outdoorsman, environmental engineer, sales person and pastor have provided a foundation for the activities of The Cabin, but he has found the real impact of The Cabin happens when people come together with their different abilities to make things happen and take next steps.

Doug Stark, EHMI Treasurer
A retired technology entrepreneur, Doug lives in Uxbridge Massachusetts with his wife, Amy. He first became aware of The Cabin about 20 years ago when he did his first hike with his wife and two young daughters. His family has great memories of that first trip. Over the years Doug has been fortunate to visit The Cabin often. He has guided a number of trips and has done several solo trips in all seasons. Whenever Doug is at The Cabin he is drawn closer to God -- and he knows God does wonderful things in the lives of all who visit. Doug is passionate about making The Cabin a sustainable ministry for future generations. He would like to personally invite you to come to The Cabin if you never have been there or to visit it again soon if you have been there in the past.

Kevin Kempskie, EHMI Board Member
The husband of a pastor with two teenage children, Kevin's love for God and his family is only rivaled by his passion for getting outside. An experience on a Cabin trip more than 10 years ago left an indelible imprint on his life, which led him several months later to join AA and find a new life in sobriety. Kevin is an active member in his church in Franklin, MA, in which he serves as a volunteer men's ministry leader. He's traveled the world for work and fun to the Far East, Israel and all throughout Europe and the U.S. Kevin works as a busy communications professional for a scientific technology company and helps on the EHMI Board as secretary and Cabin web site hack. Depending on the season you can usually find Kevin skiing, snowmobiling, fishing or riding his dirt bike throughout the (legal) trails of New England.

Carl Rubin, EHMI Board Member
Carl and his wife Brenda celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2020. Their four grown children - born and raised in Massachusetts now live in various parts of the world. Carl is a retired financial professional, spending 37 years of his career at Web Industries based in Marlborough, MA. He is an avid golfer and cyclist and admits to preferring hotels over rustic cabins - though an experience at The Cabin on East Haven Mountain has drawn him back for numerous repeat visits. Carl leverages his prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer to help in the financial affairs and stewardship of The Cabin through his Board position for EHMI, Inc. He frequently encourages and invites family and friends to experience the peace and relaxation of The Cabin. Carl says his favorite things about trips to The Cabin are physical exercise, peace, relaxation and the relationships that are built and deepened along the way. Carl hopes to convince his fellow EHMI Board members to someday install a shower at The Cabin.
